Senior Partner

John founded John Doyle & Associates in 1979 and has over thirty-five years’ experience in Consulting Engineering.  John trained as a Structural Engineer with Ove Arup & Partners where he gained experience on a wide variety of projects including the new Brewhouse for Guinness at St James’ Gate, Beaumont Hospital, the Pathology laboratory at St. James’ Hospital and Offices for the Revenue Commissioners.  John’s considerable experience and expertise covers Project Management, contract administration planning and cost control.

Andrew Fitzsimons

Managing Director

On graduating from Bolton Street DIT, Andrew won a research scholarship where he worked on the development of the early strength prediction of Portland Cement for Irish Cement Ltd.  Andrew joined the staff of John Doyle & Associates in 1987 where he became a director in 1992. The firm’s name was subsequently changed in 2006 to reflect the contribution Andrew had made to the growth and development of the practice.  Andrew’s 25 years’ experience in Consulting Engineering spans a broad range of sectors including conservation, educational, commercial and residential for both Public and Private clients.

Peter Faherty

Engineer

Peter joined FDA in 2020. He returned to study in 2009, graduating in 2012 with a B. Eng. (Hon’s) Level 8 Degree in Civil Engineering and is a full member of Engineers Ireland. Peter’s Post Grad Engineering experience includes, Structural design & drawing, Agrément Certificates and Building Regulations Compliance, Site safety Auditing, Setting out Engineer consultancy and BIM Coordination. Prior to this, Peter gained over 10 years ‘experience as a Civil/Structural Technician & Assistant Resident Engineer.

Eoin Duffy

Engineer

Eoin graduated from DIT Bolton Street with a degree in Civil Engineering. Eoin joined the staff of Fitzsimons Doyle & Associates in 2020 with 3 years’ experience in the Engineering industry including the planning & design of residential & commercial renewable heating solutions, drainage, fire safety, surveying and civil & structural designs on AutoCAD & Revit.
